Given the current situation with the Coronavirus (2019-nCov) outbreak globally,  the following information may be helpful for our members.  While the risk from human to human transmission in Australia is currently low, we consider it appropriate to introduce some prudent and practical precautions as outlined below:

To minimise the risk to our members, many of whom have health issues, we ask that anyone who has travelled overseas either by plane or cruise, to please refrain from attending any U3A noosa courses or activities for at least 2 weeks on return.

People with upper respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, sneezing and sore throats should avoid classes anyway, until the nature of their illness is clear and they are symptom free.

  • Wash hands often with soap and water, antiseptics and hand sanitizers
  • Use a tissue to cover your mouth / nose when you cough or sneeze
  • Avoid close contact with others, such as touching

Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
