Noosa Seniors/My Aged Care

Linda Wylie from Noosa Seniors and Sue Bramblebee from Carer Gateway are going to explain the services available via Noosa Seniors and how to navigate My Aged Care

Noosa Seniors provides a range of services to senior residents that reside in the Noosa Shire and who are aged over 65 years (50 years and over Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) both in the community and at our Noosaville centre. Our groups are funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and in order to access the groups and receive a subsidised cost to attend, you must be registered with My Aged Care (MAC). and hold the correct referral codes.

Carer Gateway is a national support service funded by the Australian Government. It connects carers with local supports and services through a network of regional Carer Gateway service providers. Carer Gateway services are free to access and include planning, counselling, support groups, practical assistance, facilitated coaching and emergency respite.
