Discover the secret camouflage artists who helped protect Darwin and Northern Australia when under attack and threat of invasion. Artistic innovation provided low technology solutions. A fascinating yet little known story of crisscrossing boundaries between art and design, military science, biology and nature.

About the Speaker:

Zana Dare has an Honours degree from the University of Sydney majoring in Australian history and a Graduate Diploma in Museum Studies. Zana worked in Australian museums and education including the Museum of Sydney, Hyde Park Barracks, Vaucluse House and Fairfield Regional Museum and Gallery. Since retiring, Zana continues to share her passion for the arts, culture and history with audiences of all ages. In 2016 Zana co-authored a book, ‘The Creative Pulse – 5 steps to stretch your imagination’ and has sailed as an Enrichment Speaker with Viking and Royal Caribbean Cruises.
