TITLE: Short Course Hong Kong Old Style (HKOS) Mahjong Learning Group
Come and discover the wonderful world of Hong Kong Old Style Mahjong!
This is a small, friendly, slow-paced learning group where we have a laugh while we learn.
We’ll play Hong Kong Old Style with a fun Western twist – perfect for beginners and the curious.
We learn by playing together through relaxed, challenge-based games. You’ll pick up light strategy, super-simple scoring, a little of the fascinating history behind the tiles, and how the different versions of Mahjong fit together.
Plus, I’ll show you how to practice at home with free Mahjong Apps.
All welcome – no experience needed, just bring your curiosity!

I’m a Mahjong enthusiast and I love sharing different versions of the game. I’ve taught social Hong Kong and Western styles and my favourite thing is helping new players get confident enough to enjoy a game online or around a real table with friends.
Note: This is not an ongoing playing group and is only available during the normal QLD school term periods.
