Language Room.You’re Invited to Join Our Fledgling Book Club – With a Twist!Love reading fiction? Enjoy chatting about books over a cuppa? Then this might be the perfect group for you.This is a relaxed and welcoming book club where all genres of fiction are welcome, and best of all — there are no assigned books. Instead, we’ll come together to share and discuss whatever we’re currently reading (or have recently read).There’s no pressure to analyse or present anything in detail — just a space to enjoy books, conversation, and maybe discover your next great read through others.Whether you:read constantly and want to share your latest finds,aren’t sure what to pick up next, orhaven’t read in a while and need a bit of inspiration……you’re more than welcome.We’ll meet in a small group once a fortnight, with coffee, tea, and often a treat or two like cake or chocolate. Spanish Class:In a recent lesson we simulated a restaurant situation and provided each student with a ‘Menu’(in Spanish) with two of our long term students Cathy Willems and Steve Blount, who are now quite fluent, acting as waiters, asking questions and taking orders.Prior to the lesson and the students arrival, Carole decorated each table with flowers and we placed small table number stands on each table (desk) to create an atmosphere.Each student was provided with a small bundle of ‘fake’ Spanish euros we had also created to enable them to pay for their individual orders.We are pleased to say, it was a great success which everyone enjoyed. ...
