Expressions of Interest are sought for this Second Semester Course:Basic Self Defence: 5 Weeks Commencing 3 October 2024The Course is designed to give participants the basic techniques to defend themselves from attacks. It is a five week course and would be appropriate for people over fifty years of age but not restricted to this age group.About the Tutor:I have been learning Karate for 18 years and in 2018 gained a Black Belt. I continued to study karate and in 2020 gained a First Dan Black Belt. The organisation that I have studied under is GO-KAN-RYU Karate-Do. It a global Karate organisation that is based in South Australia and has Do-Jo’s on the Sunshine Coast. Members and any person that wishes to take their Karate further can join a local group. Our Spanish class had a very practicle lesson recently about booking a table and ordering food at a Spanish restaurant. Cathy the camerera (waitress) in the photo has a son who owns a restaurant called BAUSK in Basque, Spain. Bob made some table cards with the Bausk logo on them and we put flowers on the tables and handed out a menu and a sheet with questions to ask when you are in a restaurant in Spain.
